Download & install license of forscan:
Visit forscan.org/download.html and download Forscan version for Windows (i.e FORScan version beta for Windows)
Run Forscan setup, select language and install
Accept license agreement
Choose to create desktop shortcut
Finish install Forscan setup
Run Forscan software on desktop
Press About icon, then copy hardware ID to clipboard
Go to forscan.org download again
Choose Get Free Extended License (2 month trial)
Register and login Forscan forum (forscan.org/forum)
Enter first and last name or company name, i.e: Linux, contact phone and hardware ID, press Generate license
Download license
Save ForscanLicenseKey
Go to back Forscan software
Upload license file
Press YES to continue
Forscan Extended Licence Key Generator Download
Activate license success. You’ve got 2 month free trial.
Click on Setting button->Connection tab
Select Auto connection type and save setting
Now software is ready to use.
Connect Forscan ESL27 interface or other J2534 adapter with vehicle via OBD socket and computer
Run diagnosis and programming.

Make sure the forscan program is closed when you make these edits!
If you open the license with notepad, it will give you the registry path, and then just copy and paste the key info to the registry line then save the changes.
First locate the license that you downloaded from Forscan
right click on the license and open with notepad, once that is done you will see something like this:
REGEDIT4[HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareAstechFORScan]”Key”=”2lHeNEkPEm……….
Let that stay open for the moment and find the windows icon in the lower left corner of your screen, right click on the icon, choose run..then type REGEDIT and click ok, once the registry is open..follow the path above..HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareAstechFORScan…hope you are still with me so far…lol
The id string should match the hardware id that was provided by the forscan application…if it does not then you will have to modify it as well….
to modify these strings you will need to right-click on the word “id” and choose MODIFY..then only change the “value data” in that field if needed.
copy the “key” from the notepad without the quotes and paste into the key string of the registry string..should look like this..2lHeNEkP…………gvi6AK39bFg=
